Customer Reviews

This is my go to place for breakfast when traveling through SDF in the mornings. Ham egg, and cheese sandwich is always fresh and hot off the grill. Staff is always friendly, complaints about slow service usually occur when the place is packed. Also complaints about high prices, cmon people, this is an airport restaurant, you're going to pay a premium.

Coals had great pizza and great service, but we skipped the $20 cocktails. Seemed a little ridiculous when there are liquor stores in the airport where you can buy a bottom for the cost of 2 cocktails. We got the fig jam and prosciutto pizza with a balsamic drizzle. Small but delicious.

I ordered the Butchertown pizza. The from the cheese, to the perfectly baked crust, it was delicious. The staff recognized you within seconds of standing by waiting to be seated. Friendly staff, after my first slice, I was asked if the pizza was to my liking. That makes a difference to what I look for in a restaurant. If you are by Gates B, I recommend investing in this pallet experience.

My favorite bar in the entire airport and maybe that's because I only fly Southwest. The pizza is always amazing and I found out a few days ago that the breakfast is just as tasty. The bartender was just as sweet as Kentucky sweet tea, I think her name is Rachael? If I'm wrong I'm sorry I'll get it right next time. Btw tell her that on Jan 4th a certain customer who already missed a flight might've missed that flight next to my gate, seems the officers were having a "discussion" with him at the gate. I can't wait to come back and when I do I'll swing by again and try it out yet again.

So to put in context I have worked professionally in the pizza industry. These folks are doing a great job serving customers and the quality of ingredients for the pizza is way above anything you would expect at a airport food establishment. Dough made on site.

David was my bartender and he was AMAZING. Nice atmosphere too. I did not eat here so can't comment on that.
